Letters

Writer's picture: Megan Elizabeth Megan Elizabeth

Over the last 7 months I have sent out 300+ letters to different congress members, Ohio house of representative, the Supreme Court, and local churches.

While I will continue to send these letters if anyone is interested in sending them, I have included the addresses to all.

I find myself getting slowly defeated. Advocating for a loved one requires a lot of time. I am near the end of time.

We are approaching a year without him and the days don't get easier. Every single thing reminds me of him. The memories on the book and SNAP usually leave me in tears. I might come across a goofy video I took of him which always makes me laugh.

I thought I'd adjust to this new normal relatively quick, but it's taking longer than expected. I'm like most people who don't want to deal with their feelings. I either shut down completely or tackle every head on.

This was clearly just a ranting post letting you all know we are still surviving. I'm hoping to have a ton of updates in February so make sure you subscribe!

Ohio Judicial Conference Address:

65 South Front Street, 4th Floor

Columbus, OH 43215-3431

I wrote them in regard to John's jury instructions, which were ambiguous and misleading. They are operating on a system that was designed and created in the early 1900's. It's time for change!

Supreme Court of Ohio

65 S. Front Street

Columbus, OH 43215-3431

I wrote to their Justices before knowing John's case had the potential to go up in front of the Supreme Court. I just wanted to bring awareness on his case. Praying someone who isn't corrupt received the letter.

Ohio House of Representatives

77 S High St # 12

Columbus, OH 43215

They are also responsible for change in laws. I did hear back from Mahoning County's State Rep. I was shocked he personally wrote back, but more motivated now by getting John's story heard.

You can also write our local churches to get John on their prayer list. Even though I've done it twice, it doesn't hurt to send more. I am a firm believer that John has survived this far because of prayer. He'll continue to survive it even the prayers are loud and circulating.
